The majority of the data we hold on our clients is classified as sensitive data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).As our data is not separated on a sensitive /non-sensitive data basis; it would be best practice to treat all client information as sensitive and apply high security provisions and protection to all data.
Why do we hold the data?
All data collected from individuals will ONLY be processed for:
1) KYC/ AML and other regulatory checks as prescribed by the 4th AML Directive, JMLSG guidance and the Proceeds of Crime Act.
2) Contacting clients:
- Regulatory Matters e.g. collating data (national identifiers)
- Confirmation of direct instructions for execution
- Deposits and Withdrawals
3) Trade reporting- As per MIFIR requirements we are required to report the following sensitive information along with each trade:
-First Name
-Second Name
- National Identifier
- Nationality
4) Our IT contractor has access to our servers for maintenance of our CS/CRM systems. Additionally data from these servers will be pulled in order to create reports. It is used only for the reporting purposes and is inaccessible for any other reasons.
